  1. In your prompts, use "&" instead of "and" to save 2 credits per occurrence 💰💸🤑

  2. To make for more natural sounding speech, leverage (but don't overuse!) strategic pauses in your prompts and scripts

    <break time="1.5s" />

  3. Write in book-style narration format

"Our options are limited", he said slowly...

    calmly...

    angrily...

    in frustration...

    frightened...

This can be used to force / guide changes in tone or emotion...

  4. Use "ALL-CAPS" for emphasis

This upgrade is "REALLY" popular with our customers.

  5. Use double "quotation marks" for emphasis (subtly different than #4)

If you tap the button marked \"Confirm\", we’ll get started.

  6. Leverage phonetic spellings for difficult to model words or phrases, and to effect desired pronunciation

Our new plan is totally "ah-MAAAAAY-zing."

  7. Use AI against AI - try leveraging ChatGPT to help generate an optimal ElevenLabs prompt!

  8. Aim for more frequent, shorter sentences and paragraphs, over long sentences and dense text paragraphs - the latter tends to err on monotone (read as "boring" :-))

  9. Make your own voice!

Start with a base, or create anew, and save for future use, for consistency and future modifications to text or IVR flow

  10. Adding background music adds a subtle "dimension" to the vocal track. Similar to #9, we recommend that you generate your own unique custom music, and save it and name it to ensure the ability to be consistent in future IVR modules, or when revising existing ones
